The Staebel OptiCell AIR1SX Active Air Mattress is a next-generation hybrid system combining comfort-focused design with robust clinical functionality. Developed with healthcare professionals in mind, this mattress supports high-risk patients through advanced pressure redistribution and targeted comfort zones.

At the core of its performance is the TruePressure™ technology—interconnected air cells that evenly distribute pressure, reducing back strain and providing enhanced comfort. The mattress construction supports patient immersion and envelopment, critical for reducing pressure injury risk.

The OptiTex™ cover provides a hygienic barrier that is easy to disinfect and can be machine washed at 95°C. All seams are welded, and the drip-protected waterproof zip runs along all four sides for secure closure. The anti-glide bottom surface with four fixation straps ensures the mattress remains in place for optimal support and handling.

The mattress foam includes two key layers: Waterlily foam, known for its eco-friendly composition and resilience, and Hypersoft foam, which conforms closely to the body. Together, they enhance immersion, comfort, and stability.

For added care, the heel relief section features an integrated airlock that allows easy cell disconnection, effectively minimizing pressure at the heels—a common area for pressure injuries. The mattress also includes Staebel’s signature SweCells™, replaceable air cells made from softer TPU for quieter, more body-conforming support compared to traditional PU cells.

Wrapped in a bi-elastic, double-coated textile with a soft elastic PU finish, the cover enhances patient comfort and mattress longevity.
