Leckey Squiggles Indoor Seat

Squiggles is perfectly designed to meet the unique needs of young children. It is not a scaled down version of another seat- importantly, kids are not over-supported in Squiggles, helping them to reach their full developmental potential.

The one-piece seat base and adjustable sacral support can be used to accommodate flexion or encourage extension which is pertinent at this early stage. The optional contoured shoulder support is angle adjustable and helps bring the hands to midline.

Squiggles is ideal for child-to-child interaction as it can be positioned low to the ground. This helps maximise opportunities for inclusive play, learning and socialising at eye level, making it perfect for nursery, school and home environments.

Squiggles provides a snug, comfortable fit which kids love. This is achieved via the shape of the seat and back, the laterals with their fabric tip which wrap securely around the child and the way in which the 4-point pelvic harness integrates with the hip pad.

Hi-Low base

The LECKEY Squiggles Seating System can be used in all types of scenarios thanks to the versatile hi-low chassis. The Hi-Low base allows for the child’s height to be easily changed via a gas compression foot pedal to ensure they are always ready for eye to eye interaction during work, rest and play.

When relaxation or a change of pressure control is needed, the tilt-in-space feature offers an easy way to achieve it without disturbing overall posture.

Made possible due to a large variety of adjustment possibilities, the Squiggles seating system is able to grow with your child: The back height is continuously variable by up to 6 cm, and the optional shoulder guide permits further growth of 10 cm. The seat surface also grows by up to 10 cm in width and depth.

Postural support

Pelvic stability is the basis for comfort and optimal postural support in every therapy chair. The LECKEY Squiggles Seating System features a four point harness designed to promote pelvic comfort and stability whilst allowing individuals to move their arms freely and independently to interact in activities such as playing, eating and socialising. When minimal additional trunk support is needed a small chest harness can be attached to the lateral supports.

Alongside the four point pelvic harness, the LECKEY Squiggles Seating System flexible sacral cushion can be shaped to support the sacrum, further enhancing pelvic stability.

Tilt in Space

When relaxation or a change of posture is needed, the tilt-in-space offers an easy way to achieve it without disturbing overall posture.

Different bases

It is possible to combine Squiggles with the Kimba Neo ZIPPIE Iris and ZIPPIE TS mobility bases, opening up an even bigger world of possibilities for little ones!
