Swiveling special needs infant car seat for forward or rear-facing
The Hero-NXT child car seat is a specifically modified car seat from Römer-Britax to accommodate the postural requirements of special needs children. It is suitable for installation in most commercially available vehicles that have an ISOFIX connection.
Adjustable to your child’s unique needs
The inner padding developed by Hernik ensures optimal positioning, especially for small children, and can be complimented with an abduction wedge and thoracic pads if necessary. As standard, the Hernik Hero-NXT is fitted with a 5-point seat belt to protect the child, and the quick-release buckle provides an easy and fast transfer.
Transfers made easy
Transferring the user in and out of the car usually requires a lot of effort from the parent or caregiver whose children have low muscle tone. For easier transfers, the Hero NXT can be swivelled by 90° so that the child can be seated in the car seat without straining the parent or caregiver’s back. Buckling up is also much easier in this position. Once the child is in the car seat, simply rotate it to the desired position.
Increased side support
The Hero NXT has adjustable aluminium thoracic pads that can be individually positioned to control lateral movement. Travel confidently, knowing that your child has the postural support they require.
Increased postural support
The Hero NXT features an abduction block for increased postural support.
5-point harness
The Hero NXT is equipped with its own 5-point chest and shoulder strap that securely holds your child in place. With the help of the quick release fastener and its innovative mechanism that allows you to tighten it with one movement, a convenient and quick transfer is possible.
Forward or rear facing
The Hero NXT can be used both forward and rear facing. The rear facing position can be used for children up to 18kg body weight, and the forward facing position can be used with children weighing greater than 9kg.
Tilt-in-space
To help support children with limited upper body control, the Hero NXT has a tilt-in-space function to adjust the seat angle. Easily switch between a passive or more active position.
Height-adjustable back support
The Hero NXT has a height adjustable back support to allow it to grow with your child.
Easily installed
Through the use of the ISOFIX connections found in most newer vehicles, the Hero NXT car seat achieves a more secure and firm fixture to the vehicle seat without requiring the use of the vehicle’s seat belts. This means that if the car seat is to be used in different vehicles, it can be installed and removed in a few seconds.
